“Focus” on Briar Bauman

Just wanted to fill you in on a great weekend at the Lima Half Mile. I was able to win my first ever twins national and break a few streaks while doing so. It was pretty much a picture perfect day for myself, winning my heat race, semi and the main event. I had a lot of fun battling with Brad Baker on the Lima pea gravel along with the rest of the field. One of the greatest feelings of the whole night was rolling around after the checkered flag to be greeted by what seemed like every racer in the pits, helping me celebrate my win. That is one...

Kolby Carlile Season Update

The season isn’t even half over yet, and I am already in a better position now then I have ever been in my racing career. I am currently sitting 2nd in points only two points out of the lead coming off of two 3rd-place finishes in a row. Right now we have been on a stint of mile race tracks which I enjoy and have been continuously knocking off top five finishes. My season saw the podium again for the first time since Daytona TT a few weeks ago at the Springfield TT. I was able to pick up a lot of points, and briefly take the points lead...

“Focus” on Briar Bauman

Basically if my team and I didn’t have bad luck, we wouldn’t have any luck at all. We did turn it around this past weekend though in Kentucky! At Sacramento I qualified 4th and was having a pretty solid day going and then my main bike blew up in the Dash 4 Cash. Then I had to hop on the back up which I haven’t sat on all year. I was still feeling pretty good though, but the main event didn’t treat us so well. I ended up getting a flat caused by a master clip off of a chain on the first lap. I was running 5th when that...

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text] Hey there, Just getting back from the Charlotte Half-Mile in North Carolina. It was a difficult day at the track, but we were competitive all day. We started out qualifying 5th overall out of the timed practices. This gives a solid starting spot for the heat races, which is huge. In the heat race I grabbed the holeshot over Sam Halbert, but he quickly got by me and into the lead. I was able to follow him closely the entire race and actually come close to getting him at the line after...

My goal was to put together a professional program that looked, prepared, and performed good enough to win the 2017 American Flat Track championship. I now know that is what I have done. Going into...
