I took a really bad, hard hit… cased an uphill double. No fault at all to the boot in my opinion. Just took a bad hit, blew through the suspension. Size 5 US.
I ended up with emergency surgery as I had cut off blood supply to the talus bone and dislocated in 3 places as well. Talar neck fracture, broken fibula, broken heel bone. I always give 100% effort in everything I do… haha. 3 months later, I’m just now allowed to put 50% weight on it. Visually, the boot appears intact and doesn’t appear broken in any way that I can see. Thank
Along with being one of the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned, I recently had a incident I would like to share with you. A few months ago I had a motorcycle cycle accident where I laid my bike down. My foot got turned around and dragged between the bike and rode. Eventually it got turned back around and was compressed up against the motor. Without going into more gory details your boots saved both my foot and ankle from a far worse injury. The great construction of these boots minimized the damage to my foot.
I wanted to say thank you. I was wearing these my TCX boots and they saved my foot. Briefly, my foot was smashed between the foot peg and a trailer frame at about 15 mph. I broke 3 toes and lost a toenail. The foot peg was cutting through the bottom of the boot and would have cut my foot off. The integrity of the boot itself kept my foot intact and greatly diminished the crushing effect. I feel fortunate to only have broken 3 toes.
Greetings from Thailand. We just completed our China trip, which was difficult and dangerous. Wes went down again in a small town on cobblestone. This time it wasn’t a deer but a young girl on a scooter who cut in front of him. The bike landed on his leg. Once again the boot saved his leg. It was the first day of an eight day ride, so… here’s a picture taken at Tiger Leaping Gorge.
… I was involved in a crash on my 1983 Honda CX650C. A vehicle pulled out in front of me, I swerved, and lost traction near the road’s shoulder. My foot trapped under the left cylinder head, which cracked–the cylinder head, that is, not my foot! My TCX boots are the ONLY reason my ankle wasn’t obliterated.

… it’s winter and has been raining a LOT. And I’m just a fair weather rider, haha 🙂 This weekend I’m riding to a town a few hours away to trade in my old bike and pick up the new one, which is really tall for me, so these boots will definitely help! And they are sooo comfy, definitely happy with the purchase.
Took the bike out for spin, saw some snow, figured what the heck, boots stayed nice and dry.
Been in the X-Square boots for about 2 years now. I wear them to work and I’m on my feet all day, and they are comfortable enough I don’t have to swap out for work shoes. Keep it up!
I currently own the street ace WP boots (which are amazing) but now I’ll be adding a pair of the Gore-tex to the collection as well. Keep up the great work over there & thanks again!
Just wanted to let you know I have some pretty big feet and I went for the biggest (and baddest) boots you had and they fit me. Thanks TCX
About a year ago I bought a pair of the Baja Gore-Tex Boots. The main reason I bought them though was to ride the Transamerica Trail. I rode 500 miles in 4 days and the boots continued to be very comfortable and waterproof. I took a nasty spill on a steep hill and the bike ended up on top of me with my right leg pinned underneath the bike, the bike resting squarely on my right ankle. I am convinced that without these boots, I would have suffered substantial and possibly permanent damage to my leg instead of the minor bruises that I ended up with. I thank you again for building a boot that saved my leg. <<EDITED FOR LENGTH>>
